With A New Hairstyle, Is Honesty The Best Policy
When it comes right down to it, is honesty really the best policy? So think about this, you come home after getting a new hairstyle and you ask your husband what he thinks…do you really want to hear what he thinks? It’s a situation that happened on The Mike & Carla Morning Show this morning. The guy emailed into the show saying that his wife went out and got a new hairstyle totally surprising him. When she got home she simply asked, “…what do you think?” He responded by saying “I don’t like it!”
Well, you can imagine her reaction, plus she now thinks her husband is being the jerk! Now it could have been the way he said it or that he said it at all…so you have to wonder, is this one of those situations where it might be best to just lie?
That’s what The M&C Morning Show really wanted to know…is it okay to just suck it up and say, “wow, it looks great” or to be that honest and suffer the consequences? It was interesting the comments that came in from both men and women. One woman just said, “LIE”! Lie, lie, lie! Okay, that’s one way to go…but if you have to live with that person, it makes for a different dynamic.
Now it did come up that she did the new style in preparation for the family get together over Thanksgiving which gave a whole new slant on the story. The same woman who said to “lie” also mentioned that it might be a good idea to let someone else in the family tell her that the hairstyle might not be the one she should have went with.
