Mariah Carey wanted to skip Thanksgiving because she’s not a Turkey fan, and go straight to Christmas. We all know it’s not really the turkey. It’s her wanting those royalties from “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. And if that’s not enough, she wanted to call her self the “Queen of Christmas!” This just can’t happen!

Mariah turned in an application to trademark the title, “Queen of Christmas” thinking that her status would cause the US Patent and Trademark Office to sign off on it. Well Mariah got some saddening news, SHE WAS DENIED! She was denied because her company didn’t reply to another singer’s opposition. If she was granted this, she would have legal rights to stop other people from using it in song titles, music, and even Christmas merchandise being sold.

Carey didn’t stop there though, she tried to trademark the abbreviation of it “QOC” and also “Princess Christmas”, but got denied on those as well!

I think it’s safe to say the world is a better place with Mariah Carey NOT given the legal right to name herself “Queen of Christmas!”
