A recent survey found out that if you get five hours or less of sleep, it can really mess you up for the entire day! Which, if you think about it, makes sense right? The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to make sure that everyone knew this, especially living in a 24 hour town like Las Vegas!

Since Mike O'Brian had been in a slight "fog" this past week, it made sense to him as to why he felt so out-of-it the past few days...just a bit more sleep and Mike will be fine. However, if you have one of those schedules that keep you from getting a good night's sleep, you might want to make the adjustment.

The research also showed that you cognitive skills seem to decline quicker with less sleep...well, thank you Captain "Obvious"! It doesn't take a brilliant scientist to know that if you don't get enough sleep, things start slipping away from you slowly, but surely. Of course, there are always those people that say they don't actually need that much sleep...well, guess what?

Now when it comes to taking a nap, that might be true...a quick "cat" nap of 15-20 minutes might do a body good, but it's finding the time to do it. It's definitely not on your desk or in the broom closet at work, but the bottom line is that you have to find time to re-energize!

Once again, you'd be surprised how much make sense when you just use common sense. If you have a long weekend ahead of you, get plenty of sleep. If you're working a lot of extra hours, it makes sense to seek out a deep sleep as opposed to meeting up with friends after work.

Just listen to the segment this morning regarding "A Few Thing We Think You Should Know" and find out about a few other topics M&C hit on this morning...and enjoy!
