After you pass away a year earlier, is it really okay to date your best friend's wife? It's a situation that popped up on The Mike & Carla Morning Show that struck a nerve with a lot of listeners this morning. It was like an episode of "This Is Us" after Jack dies and Miquel starts to date Rebecca! They were the best of friend while Jack was alive, but a year or so later, Miguel moves in and before you know it, they are married.
Here's a guy who's best friend had passed away a year ago and his wife, who the guy knew just as long, needed a shoulder to cry on...well, as it turns out, they start dating and one thing leads to another. The guy even got to know the kids very well while they all used to hang out together for holidays, sporting events and different functions. But as things start to turn, other friends start telling the guy how weird it is for him to date the widow and that it's even creepy.
So really think about it, if your spouse passed away, would they be good with you hooking up with his or her best friend? Going one step further, how would your other friends feel about it? Well that's what came up and quite the different opinions on the whole thing...but you would be surprised how many others were perfectly fine with it.
Of course, Carla Rea had her take and on the flipside, Mike O'Brian already knew the answer his wife would have if given the question...but what would your spouse say?
