Someone on Twitter shared a bunch of videos of Julia Roberts during interviews and more and posted "Martin Luther King Jr. paying for her birth is still a little known fact that sends me." This caused someone to post a clip of her sharing that story to honor her 55th birthday!
She shared that her parents couldn't pay for the bills so Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife, Coretta Scott King stepped in and paid it. Roberts said her parents had a theater school in Atlanta and her mother was contacted by Coretta Scott King asking if her kids could attend her mothers school because no other school would accept them because of the color of their skin. Roberts mother said yes and they ended up being great friends with the Kings.
