Stephen Chernin / Stringer via Getty ImagesIn San Francisco, you will soon be able to use a toilet that costed the city $1.7 million to install. It's a single toilet. It's no shock either that if you've visited downtown San Francisco, there's alack of public restrooms. The city officials are finally listening and responding in the most San Fran way possible.
One one neighborhood plaza, they're planning to install this one single toilet. Yes, the cost will be about $1.7 million. It will take up a total of 150-square feet of space in the plaza. Now not only will it cost this much, but it's expected to take about three years to complete!
Of course when people hear about the price, they started to complain and cause backlash. City officials now say they might be able to build it for less, but most likely they're still gonna pay the $1.7 million because they're afraid of rising prices and costs.
