Joni Mitchell To Play First Show In Over 20 Years
In June of 2023, Joni Mitchell will return to the stage! This will be the first headline show she’s done in over two decades. Brandi Carlile told Trevor Noah during an interview that Joni will do her own full set at Washington’s Gorge Amphitheatre.
Joni Mitchell has been doing “Joni Jams” with lots of other musicians for years. This was part of her recovery from her brain aneurysm she suffered back in 2015. At one point, she wanted to play live again. The last time Joni had a headlining tour was back in 2000, here in the U.S.
Since her brain aneurysm, she’s been out of the spotlight and stayed out from public due to health issues. She had problems walking and speaking, but three years after her aneurysm, she emerged for a tribute concert for her 75th birthday.
