Have you ever played pickelball? Have you been playing for months or years? It is one of the fastest-growing sports for people of all ages. I'm sure you're seeing new pickleball courts springing up in parks across Southern Nevada too.

Well, now a company called "Chicken N Pickle" will be setting up shop in our neck of the woods. They are building a multi-level entertainment complex in Henderson near the corner of St. Rose and Maryland Parkways. According to an article posted by Staff at KTNV.com, this new complex will feature "a casual, chef-driven restaurant and sports bar, several pickleball courts, a variety of yard games, a dog park, and much more!"

Chicken N Pickle currently has six wildly popular locations in North Kansas City, Missouri, Overland Park, Kansas, Wichita, Kansas, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Grand Prairie, Texas. According to the ChickenNPickle website, they are not only planning to open a location in Henderson in late 2023, but they also have plans to open locations in Grapevine, Texas, Glendale, Arizona, St. Charles, Missouri, Allen, Texas, and Webster, Texas.

Per the ChickenNPickle website, the idea for the company came up during a conversation over beers and jerk chicken while vacationing in the Grand Cayman Islands. You gotta love the American entrepreneurial spirit, because that concept will blossom into 12 successful locations by the end of 2023. It sounds like a fun place to be, and their slogan says it all: "Good food, good friends, great fun!"

Per the KTNV.com article, the new Chicken N Pickle complex in Henderson will bring 200 permanent jobs to the community, as well as being a destination for community events, charity events, fund drives, and just plain fun.

Why do I suddenly have the urge to munch on chicken and slap a pickleball around?
