Not that the trend would come back, but think about what piece of clothing from the 80s do you really miss wearing? It definitely is different for both men and women, but that's what The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to know this morning!
For Carla Rea there wasn't even any hesitation when she blurted out her Z Cavaricci jeans! Believe it or not, you can still buy them...in fact, Z Cavaricci pants, the high-waisted, pleated, and tapered trousers popularized in the '80s, are returning to celebrate their 30 anniversary! Carla was STOKED!
Now Mike O'Brian, who is a little older, thought those classic Nik Nik shirts he used to wear when he'd have a hot date or just thought about clubbin' back in the 70's! Made of pure polyester, no two shirts were ever made so each shirt had it's own individual design...so cool!
What piece of clothing did most listeners miss wearing? It was kind of funny that each call and text was a little bit different than the next. One woman mentioned those patriotic red, white and blue striped bell bottoms...psst, even Mike had a pair of those back in the day!
Acid wash jeans got a mention, shoulder pads also made the list, and the all denim look is coming back! Oh, and the stirrup pants also got a mention from one woman who was listening this morning...those pants which were great if you had the long legs!
Whatever your style is that you miss, don't be afraid to pull it back out again...gear up! Listen to the segment from this morning and see if this might jog your memory of what you miss wearing! Thanks for all the texts and all the call is morning....it was a nice flashback this morning!
