As parents, what little tricks did you have to use to get your kids to go to sleep? The Mike & Carla Morning Show starting talking about what little things parents have to pull out of their back pocket to get kids to sleep at a normal hour.

There was no lack of ideas from mom's and dad's that have already been through this...from car rides to cold medicine, everyone had their own little trick to get their kid to close their eyes! The big one of course is loading the kid up in the car and driving around anywhere from a few minutes to an hour! Once asleep though, getting them out of the car was the next trick!

Carla Rea's brother talked to her about having to take their one son in the car at all hours of the night for a ride before the little bugger would finally call it a day! So many parents found themselves in the same situation. Now older and planning to get married, karma can sometimes come back to bite you in the butt...just waiting for the day he has a kid!

Rubbing the head, reading the same story each night over and over, to singing the same song every night...we all had our little things we did just to get the kids down for the night. Listen to the segment from this morning and see if any of the ones mentioned hits home.

On the other hand, you might have your own little trick up your sleeve...whatever works right? We've all been there, so once you found what works, you stick with it until they get to the point they can sleep on their own. Once that happens, you declare victory! You've WON!

So for all the new parents out there...this might be one segment you don't want to pass up...listen, take notes and enjoy!
