Does Age Determine How ‘Spontaneous’ You Are
Recent study shows how spontaneous people can be, however, as you get older, not so much! The Mike & Carla Morning Show talk about being spontaneous and that, in reality, you peak in your 30’s and it only lasts for about six years!
The results of the study published in an article in SWNS shows that a lot of people like to think that they’re spontaneous . . . but in reality, your “spontaneous” phase could be reduced to about six weeks the summer after you turned 21.
Now when you think “spontaneous”, what do you actually mean? We’re talking about being “impulsive”, for example, heading to the airport with no plan and just picking a destination when you get there, buying the tickets and flying off! You can also add in the “desire to have fun”…just going with the flow without a net and seeing what happens!
They also characterize spontaneity as a “lack of responsibility” and having “fewer financial commitments”! Now if you happen to fall into either one of these categories…it could be because you’re still in your thirties! Sorry, but true!
On the flipside, 12% of adults consider themselves “very impulsive”…however, 38% very rarely take a chance and/or step out of their comfort zone to enjoy a moment on the spot! The good news, 47% of us actually wish we could be like that and dream about it…well then, just be like Nike and “JUST DO IT!”
Of course you don’t have to be a daredevil to be considered “spontaneous”…meaning, changing your hairstyle, the style of clothes you all wear, or even changing what you order at your favorite restaurant! All things we can all do at one time or another that could be considered being “spontaneous”!
So listen to The M&C segment from this morning and maybe you already are that person or trying to be and just hearing some of the comments that came in might inspire you to go to the next level of leading that life without a care in the world…enjoy!
