9 Must-Do Halloween Family Fun Events In Las Vegas

It’s here! It’s here! October is here!! I’m not excited, you’re excited! But seriously, we can hardly contain ourselves. It’s the month of all things spooky and Las Vegas is getting her Halloween decorations out. And kiddos old and young are looking forward to the Halloween family fun around the corner.

Anyone who has been to Vegas around Halloween time knows that we don’t mess around with this haunted holiday. From pumpkin patches to costume balls, we go all out to celebrate our favorite freaky festivities. And true to form, locals and tourists alike will have plenty of options this year to get their “boo” on.

I’ve lived in Las Vegas for 20 years, and there is always a day that stands out as special. That is the first time I see some empty warehouse don the “Halloween” sign. Spirit Halloween, I’m looking at you. True, we have costume stores year-round, being the entertainment capital that we are. But the Halloween costume stores come with something extra: the promise that Halloween is coming soon.

Now those of us who were Vegas residents in our 20’s and maybe even 30’s (don’t judge) know there are two VERY different Halloweens here. There’s the “Mean GirlsHalloween. That’s when you can bet you’ll see plenty of women on the strip in next-to-nothing costumes. Mouse ears and lingerie anyone? Then there’s the “Hocus Pocus” Halloween. Those are more G and PG rated. That gives families the option of getting their kids involved without having to walk them around in a blindfold.

Halloween should be for kids of all ages. So we put together a list of family-friendly events and activities around Las Vegas so that you and your littles can enjoy the candy-high holiday. 🙂
