Her name is Rommy Hunt Revson. The name may not sound familiar to you, but she was responsible for one of the most iconic fashion accessories in the 80's. Rommy was a singer and recently divorced from John Revson, an heir to Revlon. She was wondering how she could make a non-plastic hair clip or holder. She learned how to sew and everything herself. And that was when she came up with the Scrunci, which she named it after her poodle. It was later called Scrunchie. It was the most affordable hair accessory of the 80's and early 90's with singers like Madonna, Janet Jackson, and more wearing them as a fashion statement. And you can't forget the amount of times they were used in TV shows like "Full House", "Seinfeld", "Sex In The City", and more!

Rommy passed away at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy and a huge part of fashion. We have more on this story in today's Entertainment News!
