Get Your Toilet Seat Cleaner: Put It In The Dishwasher

Having trouble getting your toilet seat clean? One way a lot of people are getting the seat cleaner is by throwing it in the dishwasher! That's right...the dishwasher! The Mike & Carla Morning Show found out about this hack and threw it out there...and believe it or not, there are people out there not only cleaning their toilet seat in the dishwasher, but cleaning other items outside of what it's actually meant for!

All you have to do is unscrew the seat from the toilet, and then put it in the dishwasher and BLAMO...you got a clean seat! Now a few of you might think this is a little gross, especially since we normally clean our dishes, silverware and glasses in there, but some people who actually do this think is a great idea!

The upside is that you actually get it all cleaned...even in those hard to get places and you have to check to see if your unit has a "sanitizer" setting because that is the setting that gets the water super hot and cleans the best!

Now the downside is that some germ particles from the seat itself could find their way onto your dishes if you wash them together, however, if you think about it, some experts will tell you that a toilet seat is not the most germ infested item in your home. Leave that to a door knob, light switch, or even your phone!

Not sure if that argument would hold up in court, but if you try this and it makes you feel better, why not right? Mike O'Brian had mentioned that he puts his baseball caps and visors in the dishwasher to get cleaner and it seems to work. Now, not as bad a toilet seat, but what do we know?
