Al Messerschmidt / Staff via Getty ImagesIn South Carolina, flights were delayed for a while because of an alligator just cruising along the landing strip at the airport. The alligator was walking across the paths of departing flights. Passengers were taking photos from on the planes, as they all waited for the alligator to finally clear the runway. Passengers said the pilots came over the speakers to say there's an alligator-induced delay. This is apparently not something new to them though. It happens more than we know. They say that in that are of the United States, it's home to over 100,000 alligators!
