He was the legendary voice for the Dodgers for over 67 years who started calling games when the baseball club was back in Brooklyn! Moving out west, Vin Scully followed the Dodgers out to Southern California in 1958 and continued to be their announcer.
Although lured by other baseball owners, Vin Scully stuck with the Dodgers through thick and thin. He worked for CBS, NBC, and he did the announcing for other sports as well...football, golf. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame back in 1982!
He will be missed by baseball fans everywhere...for that reason, The Mike & Carla Morning Show took time this morning to honor the iconic broadcaster airing a few of his most famous calls! So hit "play" below and enjoy the segment from this morning baseball fans!
