It’s no doubt that Metallica has had top selling albums and top charting songs over their long careers!  But what about a song from 1986 that never made the U.K. Top 40, all of a sudden hit it! It’s all thanks to the Netflix cult series, “Stranger Things”!

The latest season has had a resurgence of classic hits topping the current charts!  The first was Kate Bush‘ “Running Up That Hill” which was almost a faded memory of a song, until the series used it. Now it’s blown up all over social media and other platforms. With the release of the second part of the current season, it’s Metallica’s turn!  Their song “Master Of Puppets” was featured in an episode, in a scene so epic, it has millennials downloading and buying the song to add to their collection!

The song shot to number 47 on the U.K. singles chart when Netflix released the new episodes. Now “Master Of Puppets” sits at number 23 on the First Look chart, which would make this their 20th U.K. Top 40 appearance.

The last time Metallica did this was 14 years ago with their song “The Day That Never Comes”.
