"Ms. Pac Man" was released in 1982, "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" in 1998, "Sid Meier's Civilization" in 1991, & "Dance Dance Revolution" in 1998!
To be inducted into the World Video Game HOF, you need to meet 4 requirements. 1. Game needs to have an iconic status, 2. The longevity of the game, meaning it wasn't a fad. 3. The audience it reaches. How wide around the world has it reached. 4. The influence, whether that's in pop culture or with the development of future games.
