It also may be the new home to a persistent and annoying woodpecker who returns constantly to bore a hole in the hockey stick! The stick is connected to the front of the Cowichan Community Centre and the woodpecker was spotted by a figure skater who practices at the location. At first they thought it was boring for bugs to eat. Then it kept returning!
