I think we can all agree that a few good things did come out of the pandemic - not many - but there were silver linings.

Researchers in the U.K. have put out a new study, where they found that one in three young people between the ages of 8 and 18 say they were HAPPIER during the lockdown.

These are mostly kids that are under a lot of stress in "normal" life, so the quarantines and remote learning meant they avoided bullying, felt less lonely, got more sleep and exercise, enriched relationships with family and friends, and their overall mental health improved while staying at home.

This probably doesn't include many kids that thrive in social settings and in group activities like sports, but one in three is a large amount.

Lockdown was tough, and this doesn't mean that we're going back to lockdowns to save the children.  But it certainly could provide some insight into how we can give kids a break from the stress they experience, and help them find more balance.

And now let me lighten the mood with five things we miss about lockdown:

1. The sense of achievement that came from finishing the entire season of "Emily in Paris" in one sitting.

2. Guilt-free Monday afternoon binge-drinking. And Tuesday... And Wednesday... And - -  you understand.

3. The Lysol buzz we got from spraying down our groceries.

4. The thrill of stealing toilet paper.

5. No longer showering, shaving, or grooming.  Now known as Aaron Rodgers.

Cheers - enjoy life!
