Following the death of rock legend Meat Loaf last week (1/21), Eric Church  paid tribute to the singer in concert by singing one verse of Meat Loaf's only Billboard number one song, “I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That).”

Eric broke into the verse while playing a concert for over 16,000 people in Detroit on Saturday (1/22).

Church finished by pointing towards heaven, then segued smoothly into his own song, “Springsteen.”

One fan at the concert posted a video clip to Twitter, writing, "Lovely Meat Loaf tribute last night from @ericchurch."

As we reported on Friday (1/21) Meat Loaf died from complications of COVID at age 74. Meat Loaf lived just south of Nashville for the last several years.
