The Yellow Ford that Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) learned "Wax On. Wax Off!" on by Mr. Miyagi is probably one of the most iconic cars from the movies. When they wrapped filming the second movie, Macchio approached Columbia Pictures and asked if he could buy the car back from them at the end of filming the third film. The studio was not opposed to it. After they wrapped filming the third Karate Kid film, Macchio had a flat bed truck show up to his NY home with the car on it...Columbia Pictures gave it to him as a gift for the success of the films.

Fast forward to now, "Cobra Kai" is dominating the streaming service, Netflix! It's only fitting to have the same 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible in the show, so he brought it back, restored it, and now it plays a prominent role as a learning experience in the series.
