He spent months learning the French language, including spending money on Babbel and hiring one on one tutoring. When it was time to ask her out, he did it in perfect French! The response he got was not what he was expecting, she said, "You know I'm German, Right?" But she said it in French, because she knew the language. The boy got so flustered and felt so dumb, he just walked away.
