Former Senate Majority Leader & Nevada Born, Harry Reid passed away today at the age of 82He had a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Reid served five terms in the U.S. Senate.  He was the longest-serving senator in Nevada’s history.

Reid was a boxer and took what he learned in the ring to help mold how he approached tasks.  He was elected to the state assembly at the age of 28, after returning to Nevada.

Most recently, to honor Reid, McCarren International Airport was renamed to Harry Reid International Airport.
