An annual study ranks the hardest-working cities in America.  It's based on 11 factors, like hours worked, average leisure time per day, how many people work more than one job, and the number of vacation days that went unused.

According to the results, Anchorage, Alaska is the hardest-working city in America.  It was also #1 last year.

The top five this year are:  Anchorage, Alaska, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Washington, D.C, Irving, Texas.

Of the 116 cities they looked at, Detroit came in last.  Followed by Burlington, Vermont, Buffalo, New York, Newark, New Jersey, and Cleveland, Ohio.

According to the latest stats, the average American works 1,779 hours a year.  That's 109 more than Canada, 135 more than Japan, and 241 more than the U.K.  But Mexico is #1 overall at 2,137 hours a year.
