BERLIN, GERMANY – APRIL 29: Resident Johanna Pfeiffer, 96, looks on from her room as singer Alf Weiss performs live at the Hermann Radtke Haus nursing home during the novel coronavirus crisis on April 29, 2020 in Berlin, Germany. The home, which has a total of 195 residents, has seen its share of Covid-19 infections, from which eight residents have died. Of the 12 remaining infected residents eight are recovering, according to the home’s manager. Local performer Alf Weiss sang a mix of schmalzy hits for two hours outside in the courtyard of the home. Some residents emerged with walkers or electric wheelchairs to watch and listen, while others looked on from the windows of their rooms as a few nursing staff members danced. Many senior care facilities across Germany have been hit with Covid-19 infections. A study was done and scientific evidence showed that singing songs in German is more likely to spread COVID if you have it. The way words are said and pronounced cause you to spit or spray particles. German songs emit 1,300 particles per minute. So what language should you sing in? Japanese! Japanese songs only cause you to emit 500 particles per minute!
