Steve Hackett was the longtime lead guitarist for the band Genesis. He helped propel the band to fame with many of their studio and live albums. In 2010, Hackett was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the band.
Hackett released his first solo album, Voyage of the Acolyte, in 1975 while he was still with Genesis. Critics have said his guitar work was far ahead of his time, and that he influenced musicians like Eddie Van Halen and Brian May.
Hackett just released his latest solo album, called Under A Mediterranean Sky. Backed by a full orchestra, Hackett displays some pretty impressive guitar work that fans have come to expect from him. Here are a few tracks from that album.
