The Vegas Golden Knights, our home team, are going into their 4 season and aside from the roster changes, one big change has been announce...Mark Stone will be the franchises first ever team captain.  Stone has been with the VGK for 2 seasons and going into a 3rd!

A team captain is chosen based on the what the player does on and off the ice.  A player that is respected by the rest of the team and will be a leader.  There are a lot of great candidates on the team, but Stone obviously has a connection with all players that management felt stood out above the rest.

The Winnipeg native has played in the NHL for 9 seasons and kicking off his 10th season this year.  He played for the Ottawa Senators and now the Golden Knights!

Can't wait to see the "C" on his jersey as they hit the ice for the first game tonight against the Anaheim Ducks!

Congrats to Mark Stone!
