After the legendary Glenn Frey died, the Eagles had to find a replacement for their band. They brought on Frey's son, Deacon, but needed someone else as well. Country superstar Vince Gill fit the bill, but fans were none to crazy about that idea. But from a recent interview, it sounds like Gill wasn't either. Gill says that the Eagles are one of his favorite bands, so of course he was thrilled to join. As a fan, though, he says he doesn't want to hear himself singing with them any more than you do. He does it to keep the music alive as long as possible, and because the other option just isn't possible anymore.

And if you need an endorsement, Gill says Don Henley only wanted him to fill the role, so there you go.
