96.3 KKLZ takes November 11th to honor our Veterans across the country!

They did the ultimate act of heroism by serving our country and we must never forget all for what they fought for.

We take this day to see how Las Vegas and other cities have honored our Veterans.

About Veterans Day: Veterans Day was birthed on November 11th, 1918 after the end of World War I. All fighting halted and the Versailles Peace Treaty went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918. Then, in 1919, President Wilson proclaimed November 11th as the first commemoration of Armistice Day. Then, it was properly named Veterans Day and given an official holiday in 1938 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
