A motorcade to support Las Vegas Metro Police Officer Shay Mikalonis started this morning at 7am.

He’s getting transferred from UMC Hospital to another long-term rehabilitation center in another state.

Officer Mikalonis was shot in the head during a protest on June 1st, according to The Reno Gazette-Journal. The injury left Mikalonis paralyzed from the waist down and unable to speak.

The 20-year-old suspect that deliberately shot Mikalonis was placed into custody on June 1st, according to The Reno Gazette-Journal.
