Weekdays 10:00am - 3:00pm

The Hearts Alive Village Dog of the Week is a super special boy (not that they all aren’t!).
Lucius was dumped at the shelter by his owner. Normally, this is incredibly sad for the animal, but if we had to guess, this handsome boy was basically ignored in his previous home. Left out in the backyard to brave the elements alone, he was covered in lumps and bumps and sores.
In this case, being surrendered was the best chance he had at a good life. This gorgeous 7-8 year old pup is now getting his first taste of a loving home with his foster daddy.
When the weather was cooler, he’d snooze by the fireplace. He enjoys the simple things in life like relaxing and spending time with his foster human.
Lucius gets along with other dogs, but he’d rather just be by himself, getting all the love and attention from his human family. And after what he’s been through, we think he deserves it.
If you’d like to welcome this happy-go-lucky boy into your home and your heart, please email info@heartsalivevillage.org.

Meet the Hearts Alive Village Cat of the Week… Marcie!
This sweet kitty was rescued from a hoarding situation and hadn’t been around many humans until she came to Hearts Alive Village.
On the outside, she looks a bit grumpy. But on the inside, she’s nothing but love. She adores attention and will take all the head rubs and pets she can get. (And she purrs like a motor!)
Marcie isn’t a cuddler just yet, but her foster mom is working on it. As this little girl gains confidence in herself and trust in humans, she’s getting more and more lovable.
Marcie is UTD on shots, micro-chipped, and spayed. If you’d like to learn more about this sweet girl, email her foster mom at christine.fineberg@gmail.com.
