The Vegas Golden Knights are remaining an active part active part of the Las Vegas community, even with the hockey season paused due to the coronavirus pandemic. The team announced Sunday that it would provide more than 7,500 meals for doctors, nurses and other employees at local hospitals working to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Donations from the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation and some players and staff, including Deryk Engelland, William Karlsson and Jon Merrill, made the initiative possible, according to a statement from the team.
