Southwest Airlines Cancels 230 Flights Due To McCarran Tower Closure
The Las Vegas airport has reduced operations after an air traffic controller tested positive for the coronavirus, temporarily closing the airport’s control tower.
Southwest Airlines has canceled 230 flights Thursday because of the closure at McCarran International.
Nevada’s governor ordered non-essential businesses in Nevada to shut down for a month to halt the virus spread but Las Vegas say they won’t respond to complaints about businesses that stay open.
Reno officials say violators in that city could face $1,000 fines and lose their license.
