The "Happiest Place o Earth" is closing it's doors on Saturday and will remain closed until the end of the month to help stem the tide of the Coronavirus outbreak. The park had been exempt under a public gathering ban enacted by California Governor Gavin Newsom, barring large gatherings of 250 people or more.

"While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Disneyland Resort, after carefully reviewing the guidelines of (Newsom's) executive order and in the best interest of our guests and employees, we are proceeding with the closure of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, beginning the morning of March 14 through the end of the month," Disneyland announced in a statement.

Hotels at the theme park will remain open until Monday so guests have a chance to pack up, make travel arrangements and get out. Park employees will continue to receive paychecks while they are off the job because of the theme park closings.

Disneyland and California Adventure will "work with guests who wish to change or cancel their visits, and will provide refunds to those who have hotel bookings during this closure period."
