In 1977, Fleetwood Mac was going through quite a bit of turmoil off the stage. Break ups and other devastating life events plagued the band. But those painful moments lent themselves to one of the most iconic albums ever in rock history. Rumours has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, and landed Fleetwood Mac the Grammy for Album of the Year in 1978.

In an interview, Stevie Nicks describes the events that surrounded the writing of the one of the album’s singles. Dreams was Fleetwood Mac’s one and only Number 1 hit. And Nicks says she wrote it in about 10 minutes.
