9/11 Ruck
A 9.11 mile walk starting at Miller's Ale House (6683 Las Vegas Blvd South) at 6:00 pm. The walk will be in honor of the heroes of 9/11.
Downtown Fremont 9/11 Memorial and March
The annual march will begin at Main Street at 7:00pm. The march will stop at 7:10 at 1st Street for an observed moment of silence followed by the national anthem. At 7:15, Fremont Street Experience will display their 9/11 memorial show on the canopy. The march will then continue 3rd Street, then towards Ogden, where a large flag and firetrucks will be on display. The march will continue to Hogs & Heifers, where it will end with pipes and drums to honor those who fought to keep the nation safe in the wake of 9/11.
Cashman Field Soccer Match Honoring 9/11 Heroes
The match between the Las Vegas Lights and Phoenix Rising will begin at Cashman Field (850 Las Vegas Blvd North) at 7:00pm. The UNLV Army ROTC Rebel Batallion will do a special presentation of colors, and singer/actress Vita Corimbi Drew will sing the national anthem. Fireworks and other halftime activities will honor military (active and veteran) and first-responders. There will be a special guest, a former NYC firefighter who was present at ground zero. A portion of the proceeds of this game will go to Kline Veterans Fund to support Southern Nevada's homeless veterans and their families.
