NEW YORK, NY - OCTOBER 31: A Halloween scene can be viewed outside of a Brooklyn home on Halloween night on October 31, 2015 in New York City. Throughout the country children and adults are dressing-up in costumes to both scare and entertain as they make their way through neighborhoods collecting candy treats. There’s a petition going around to change the date of Halloween! Already sporting over 150,000 signatures, people are petitioning to change Halloween to the last Saturday in October. While it kind of makes sense for kids and grown-ups alike to make this holiday on the weekend, wouldn’t it be weird to not celebrate it on the 31st? On the other hand, a weekend does mean kids can stay up later, and we adults can throw better costume parties.

Oooh, and if it DOES get changed, can we have like a MEGA Halloween when the last Saturday of the month does fall on the 31st?

Get the details.
