KKLZ Music News

We’re suckers for a good music movie, and there’s a good chance Hearts Beat Loud starring Nick Offerman will be making a lot of noise.

The film centers around single dad/struggling record store owner Frank (Offerman) and his daughter Sam (Kiersey Clemons), who’s about to head off to college.  The father and daughter are connected by more than just blood but by music as well.  The two record a song on a whim and upload it to the Internet where it takes off.

The cast is rounded out with a bunch of big names like Toni Collette, Ted Danson and Blythe Danner and will be hitting theaters on June 8.

Honestly, we’d pay good money to see a follow-up film where Frank meets up to jam with Duke Silver, but we’ll let Hearts Beat Loud have its moment in the sun first.
