Forty years after the all-girl group began, the Go-Go's are going to Broadway. Their first stop, in San Francisco, will be a good place for them to work out the kinks before landing in the Big Apple. But it doesn't sound like they will have many. They have a very impressive team working on this show, including Tony-Winning Director Michael Mayer, known for works such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch as well as the Green Day musical, American Idiot. Joining Mayer are the Emmy-Nominated choreographer Spencer Liff and Pulitzer Prize-Winner Tom Kitt.

One cast member says even though the show is very much Shakespeare by nature, it surprised her how perfectly the Go-Go's repertoire fit. She said it's like "Shakespeare and punk music had a baby - and somehow this baby is awesome and not obnoxious."

This show sounds like it's going to be a blockbuster. We're crossing our fingers that it lands in Las Vegas sometime soon!
