The couple -- accompanied by Mellencamp's son Hud and Ryan's son Jack Quaid -- took in the New York Knicks game on Christmas Day at Madison Square Garden. Mellencamp and Ryan dated from 2011-2014, after which he took up with Christie Brinkley for a time. He and Ryan were seen during May on Martha's Vineyard, and People magazine declared them back together during the summer.
The thrice-married Mellencamp, however, would not reveal much in the way of details about the relationship to us:
"I don't really talk about that stuff, but I'm sure that you don't have the right information. That's my answer. I wouldn't pay much attention to that kind of stuff. I don't know why anybody would."
Mellencamp was on the road this year supporting his latest album, Sad Clowns & Hillbillies. He has not yet announced any plans for 2018.
