Brian Johnson celebrates his 70th birthday today (October 5), and with the announcement of the 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees also coming down today, it’s appropriate to look back to 2003 when AC/DC received their Rock Hall dues.

First, they were inducted by Steven Tyler, whose speech is incredibly underrated in the long list of induction speech in the history of the Rock Hall…

Johnson then spoke on behalf of the band in a short but sweet speech that also served as a doffing of his newsboy hat to the late Bon Scott…

And then, it was time to rock!  Just like the entirety of AC/DC’s career, the band’s night of honor was all business, no bullsh*t, but still a ton of fun.

We fans wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
