Phil Collins has found monumental success as the lead singer of Genesis, as well as a solo artist. But it all started with his first love, drums. In his new memoir, Not Dead Yet, Collins goes into detail about his music career and challenges he faced.
Namely, on the stage. According to Collins, it’s not the frontmen running around all night who are the most exhausted post-show. Collins said he was always the one sweating and panting backstage after a show. But he doesn’t mind. He loves being a drummer.
Check out Phil reading his own book, in an excerpt describing the challenging life of a drummer.
