You know how it took David Gilmour ten years between solo album releases? While nothing is promised or set in stone, there’s a good chance fans won’t have to wait that long for the next LP.

Gilmour released the behind the scenes video below, and in it he mentions that he has “several songs” he’s close to finishing that didn’t make Rattle That Lock. He only intends to tour in support of new material, but that he really hopes “it won’t take ten years this time, that I will get back in and start working again. Following that, yeah, I’ll be out again.”

Well, while we wait, at least we have his live set Live At Pompeii to look forward to later this month on September 29 and the special one-night-only theater screening of the concert film on September 13. Full album details can be found at DavidGilmour.com, and details about the theater screening are available at DavidGilmourCinemaTickets.co.uk.
