Barbie Has Choices: Man Bun Ken, Corn Row Ken, Or Maybe Dad-Bod Ken.

EL SEGUNDO, CA – FEBRUARY 02: Mattel Inc. offices are seen February 2, 2009 in the Los Angeles area community of El Segundo, California. Fourth-quarter profits for the toy maker giant fell far below expectations following a disappointing holiday season as net profit fell from $328.5 million, or 89 cents a share, a year earlier to $176.4 million, or 49 cents a share. Barbie's gotten thousands of different looks over the years, but Ken has basically always looked the same.  That all just changed big time.  Except - well - he's still parts-free. Since '59!

Mattel just announced they're rolling out a HUGE variety of new Ken dolls.  There are seven different skin tones, three different body types, and nine hairstyles. The body types are regular, slender, and, quote, "broad."  Basically, that's a "dad bod," although from the pictures, he's really not that "dad-bodish."

The hairstyles are getting the most attention though, mainly because one of them is a MAN BUN.  The other one that's pretty unexpected is corn rows, but no one's really talking about that, because --- man bun.

Ten new Kens hit stores this week, and five more are going to roll out over the next few months.
