Terrie's bio

BIO

If someone told me I would get paid to wear headphones (loud!) and play records for a living, I would have laughed out loud and called them crazy...decades down the road it's what I'm lucky enough to do everyday! My career as a radio personality has taken me from Wichita, KS (home, and where the rest of the family resides), to Denver, Phoenix, Seattle and here. The first time I visited Las Vegas I knew it was where I wanted to live, and I've been here for most of the past 16+ years.

How did I end up here?: I was down the hall, working the Midday slot at Coyote Country when the company offered the opportunity to fill the hours between the KKLZ Morning Show and Larry Martino in the Afternoon. It's the music we all grew up with...who wouldn't love that?

What would I be doing if I wasn't at KKLZ? I'd hope to still be here in Las Vegas. We moved here right before we got married, with the thought that anyone fun would eventually visit, and if they wouldn't, they weren't the kind of people you'd want to hang out with anyway! As far as what I'd be up to, if not on-air, I'd like to shine a light of nutrition on how important it is to everyone's health and quality of life.

My radio story: I became a DJ by accident! I had my FCC License from my High School radio station days (those licenses don't exist anymore, except for engineers) and went to apply for a receptionist position. That job was filled, but they saw the license listed in the area where you list any other qualifications and offered me a weekend job...I was hooked right away!
