Mike O'Brian

Besides being on the best morning show in Las Vegas at 96.3 KKLZ, Mike also has his own band, "The Wedge Brothers", that plays all over town!

He has two beautiful daughters, Nicole (28) and Kelly (27), and enjoys life everyday with a wonderful woman, who just happens to be his best friend, Jodi. The alarm fires off at 3am every morning and after doing it for 25 years, Mike will be the first one to tell you he has the best job in the world! Here's more info about Mike O'Brian:

What led me to Las Vegas: It was a job in radio...living in Phoenix at the time, I actually got a radio  job in Las Vegas back in 1980, then left for two and a half years. In 1986, I came back to Las Vegas to do mornings and have been here ever since.

What would I be doing if I wasn't at the 96.3 KKLZ: I don't really know, I've been doing radio for almost 30 years, so this is all I really know.

My funniest radio story: I got a few, so you're going to have to read the book!

Something people might not know about me: I sang and danced my way through the Midwest, Europe and the West Indies my junior and senior year of high school in a local musical group called "Showteens".

Something people might not know about me: Believe it or not, I think I can be very romantic! I know, sounds weird, but I think my girlfriend Jodi would agree...just don't tell anyone!

My Favorite Movie of the Moment: I'm a Godfather and Godfather II freak, but for a good laugh, check out Galaxy Quest starring Tim Allen! Got 'em all on DVD.

Favorite Book: "Knight" by coach Bobby Knight with Bob Hammel.

Favorite Pigout Food: Chicago style pizza...thin crust and cut in squares.

Favorite Performer: Elvis...any movie, any concert footage put down the remote and step away from the big screen!

Favorite KKLZ song: Anything by Sly & The Family Stone

Favorite Pro Sport Team: Any team from Chicago...Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks, and White Sox...NOT CUBS!

Favorite Las Vegas "thing" to do: Riding the bicycle through the Red Rock Loop
